Nestled between the Upper and Lower Bellfield Woods sits around 1.5 acres (0.6 hectares) of land that is owned and, except for the fenced area with the cadet centre in it, maintained by 2367 (Banchory) Squadron.
The land is used to support the training programmes of the cadet units during parade nights and occasionally on weekends, including sports, camping, fieldcraft training or even overflow parking when the cadet centre car park is needed for other purposes.
We also allow it to be used by members of the community, but ask that they treat it with respect and leave it as they found it.
Notes to Users
We would be obliged if users of the field bear the following points in mind:
The Car Park
The cadet centre car park is provided for use by the ATC and CCF staff, the cadets and their parents.
To make life easier for the residents of the adjacent road, we will typically leave the gates to the car park unlocked so that the area can be used as a turning circle.
There may be circumstances where we need to lock the gates and prevent access to the car park. This can be done without warning so we would discourage people from parking private vehicles here unless the owners are using the field.
